The Kalaupapa Cliffs in Hawaii are the highest sea cliffs in the world, dropping about 1,010 m (3,315 ft) into the Pacific Ocean. The Kalaupapa peninsula was created during the eruption of the underwater Kauhako Volcano, and the small village of Kalaupapa is nestled right at the base of the cliffs
